After 2 meetings with the top bowlers in town, and countless hours of work, the Lafayette USBC approved my new Bowler of the Year Policy & Procedures tonight at our board meeting. This will be the new format for the next 3 years. Thanks to everyone who attended the meetings and or gave us input on how they want the Bowler of the Year Program to operate. I cannot guarantee it is perfect, but we had to start anew sometime. Please read the entire Policy & Procedure before asking any questions. Please contact me with your questions and I will be happy to explain our thought process. Good luck to all.
After it was brought to our attention that the All City Team procedure did not work as planned, so the Lafayette USBC Board approved a modification in the wording (8/26/20) to read that the top 10 bowlers based on points earned will make up the All City Teams, going from top 5 = 1st Team & 2nd 5 highest point total = 2nd Team All City. This in no way affects the outcome of the Bowler of the Year Award itself, just clarifying the All City Team's rankings.
Sincerely,
Tom Taylor - Lafayette USBC Association Manager
